The SWATCOM 1 can be an intrinsically safe, totally waterproof and dust tight Press-to-Talk (PTT) switch. The unique “Quick-Release” connector allows the PTT being attached to any of the SWATCOM communication devices.

This adaptability allows the same system to be tailored for a specific user workplace natural environment or operational needs. The PTT can be configured to suit virtually any portable two-way radio and is supplied with the radio lead to suit your specific hand portable broadcast.

The Unique MODULAR design in the SWATCOM 1 offers significant cost savings together with versatility and ruggedness!

Normal manufacturing practice means you must buy a complete headset with the PTT (Press-to-Talk) challenging wired together. If you then want to use a Throat Microphone with Earpiece you might have to buy another complete system, again hard-wired to your PTT. This can prove to be very costly.

YES, Use the SWATCOM 5 throat microphone with suitable earphone.

Yes. The Large PTT enables easy communication with two-way radio.

YES. It can be configured to suit virtually any hand portable radio on the market.

6. Can the SWATCOM 1 be decontaminated?

YES. Wash in mild detergent and replace ear pads and Earphone tips.

7. Can the SWATCOM 1 be configured for VOX transmission?

NO. The large PTT with AUX PTT options allows great flexibility to activate the PTT in most scenarios. VOX can jam the radio in transmit mode and blocks anyone else transmitting.

8. Does the SWATCOM 1 require any batteries?

NO. It gets it’s power from the radio.

9. Can I use the SWATCOM 1 in High Noise areas?

YES. Connect the SC7 heavy duty noise-cancelling headset.

10. Do I have to buy another SWATCOM 1 PTT when I want to switch from using a high-noise headset (SC7) to a rugged waterproof lightweight headset (SC8)?

NO. The modular “Quick-Release” connection allows simple interchange ability between headsets to suit your application.
